A Site Feasibility Study was conducted in 2022 to explore three potential sites below the plateau, near the Aqsarniit Hotel. Site 1 was chosen as the preferred location. IHT, QIA and the City of Iqaluit are currently negotiating to allow the development of the NIHC on this site.
