Nunavut Heritage Training Program

Who should attend: People who work in museums, heritage/visitors centres throughout Nunavut; people from communities that are interested in developing a cultural/heritage centre; Parks Canada/ Nunavut Parks/GN Culture and Heritage Staff; tourism operators, etc.

Details

Travel: IHT will support the travel costs of people from not-for-profit organizations and Hamlets.

Module 1: Introduction to Museums and Cultural/Heritage Centres
Module 2: Centre Management
Module 3: Heritage Interpretation
Module 4: Human Resources
On-the-land Day: Qaummaarviit Territorial Park

Each module is two days and includes visits to museums and visitor centres and guest speakers.

Nunavut Arctic College: Participants receive a Certificate of Completion from NAC and IHT..
